Chief Minister Sangma holds Public meetings at Bajengdoba and Resubelpara

Chief Minister, Meghalaya, Mukul Sangma, held public meetings at Resubelpara and Bajengdoba. Dr. Sangma addressed the gathering at Bajengdoba and interacted with the locals right from community elders and women to little children. Dr. Sangma addressed the huge crowd, urging them to choose sustainable development and harmony above all else. He talked of how the Government has made humble beginnings towards addressing the problems of the people and talked of doing his best to keep the promises made to the people. He also emphasized on total freedom of expression, diet and lifestyles in Meghalaya.

At Resubelpara, Dr. Sangma addressed the enthusiastic crowd of supporters and emphasized on the power of democracy above everything else. Democracy, according to Dr. Sangma is the cornerstone of our nation and also the State. He talked of how the political party manifesto should be the guiding principle for development and keeping those promises is the duty of any party that forms the Government. He urged the people to keep their belief in true democracy as ensured by the Congress Government in Meghalaya.

Dr. Sangma asked everyone to keep away from communal and divisive forces which threatened to disrupt peace and harmony in Meghalaya. He interacted with people across both areas, listening to their expectations and promised to strive to work towards universal betterment throughout the State.
