Dr. Mukul Sangma Signs Meghalaya-Belgium MoU

Chief Minister, Meghalaya, Dr. Mukul Sangma, signed a historic MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) between the Wallonia Region, Kingdom of Belgium and the Meghalaya State Government. The MoU was signed at New Delhi’s Taj Diplomatic Enclave. The MoU pertains to the promotion of healthy and productive relationships between the two parties along with fostering beneficial collaborations. There is also recognition of the mutual and equality principles in fields like Training, Agro-food inclusive of breweries, Trade and Commerce, Architecture, Healthcare, Environmental areas, Sports and leisure, urban development and management of eco-systems, science and technology, veterinary and animal husbandry and several other fields.

The King and Queen of Belgium are visiting India at present and have already signed 16 MoUs with several stakeholders of the country. Two MoUs have already been signed with the Meghalaya State Government during this occasion. Dr. Mukul Sangma has set a new wave of progress in motion which relies majorly on productive collaboration with the Kingdom of Belgium.
