Meghalaya Chief Minister Dr. Mukul Sangma has already started his campaigns for the elections. He recently campaigned for Noverfield R. Marak, the Indian National Congress (INC) candidate at the Chibra Agal Village. According to Mukul Sangma, the warm reception of the crowd gave him strength and hope as to the people choosing tolerance, love and peace over communal divisions and hatred. He talked of how delighted he was to see the sheer enthusiasm of the people at the Chibra Agal Village.
He sought the active support and blessings of the people for the Congress and for Noverfield R. Marak who will certainly do a good job for the entire region. He sought the people’s love while embarking on this new journey to take the entire North Tura region towards newer heights of development and overall prosperity. Along with campaigning for Noverfield R. Marak, Dr. Sangma also campaigned for Congress candidate Dr. Azad Zaman at Rajabala.
Dr. Sangma thanked the people of Rajabala for their support and enthusiasm. He urged the assembled gathering to choose the Congress which stands for tolerance amongst all, universal brotherhood, peace, prosperity and harmony amongst all communities. M. Sangma urged everyone to exercise their franchise and choice in a responsible manner, asking them to stay away from divisive forces which only spread hatred and nothing else. He added that the pursuit of peace is the most important thing and prayed for harmony to be present in Meghalaya as always.
